Keaton Stripe Skirt Navy + Kelly Green

This skirt kept popping up in my socials. I just ignored it until a fellow docent showed up in a skirt that looked a lot like the one in my socials. When I asked her about it, she told me to check the tag, and lo and behold, it was Ink + Alloy! I rushed home and ordered my first one...the coral and cinnamon (I think) colors. She had the navy and Kelly green so I didn't want to get that one. When the skirt arrived, I was instantly in love! I'm 5'1" and short waisted. I wasn't sure how all that elastic at the waist would look on my vertically challenged body. It looked fabulous! I even featured it recently on my blog. The fabric is just thick enough to be weighty but light enough to be drapey...hopefully, that makes sense! I hope you bring these back next year in more and different colors! Oh, and I recently ordered and received the navy and Kelly green skirt!

The skirt is so cute, and I'm giving it four stars because I think the quality and design are great. I've included a photo of myself (rather than the skirt) simply to give other shoppers a reference for my build.

I initially discovered these skirts through Instagram, where they were described as "one size fits most." As someone who typically wears a size 12/Large and considers myself a fairly average build, I assumed I would fall into that category. Unfortunately, I later realized the product description on the website specifies that the skirt is intended to fit sizes 2–8, so that's on me for not reading more carefully before ordering.

Even so, I wanted to leave this review because I suspect I won't be the only person who sees the social media posts and assumes the skirt will fit a wider range of sizes. It was disappointing to realize it wasn't made for my body, especially since I've worked hard to maintain my weight my entire life and now even harder whilst battling menopause. I know that's my personal emotional response and not the company's responsibility, but I also know many women can relate to that feeling. If you're around a small/medium, I think you'll probably love this skirt. If you're closer to my size (5'7, 170 lbs) - I hope this helps you decide before ordering. If larger skirts of these are made, I will be first in line! They are so fun! In the meantime, maybe I need a kaftan...
